U.S. Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott desires Chinese language-owned, short-form video platform TikTok off all state-issued gadgets to “protect the security and cybersecurity of Texans.”
Citing considerations over the app being partially owned by the Chinese language Communist Celebration and since it provides a “trove of probably delicate data to the Chinese language authorities,” Abbott ordered all state companies to ban using or downloading of TikTok on any government-issued gadget, together with telephones, laptops, tablets, computer systems, or every other gadget able to connecting to the web.
