Sidian Bank has been named ‘The Best Digital Bank of the Year’ in Kenya at the 17th annual Think Business Awards. The bank was also recognized as 2nd runners up in mobile banking and 2nd runners up in Trade finance bank in the country.
Sidian Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Chege Thumbi, said the win was for all Sidian bank customers, staff, and shareholders.

Sidian Bank, recently released their results where the bank increased a consolidated net profit to KES 117 million for the period ended 31 March 2022 compared to a net profit of KES 114 million as at 31 March 2021.The bank’s attributed improved performance to increased lending, improved customer centricity, efficiency and turn-around time which was highly contributed by its digital innovations.
At the same event, the bank was also feted for being the best bank with the lowest charges in SME Banking in Kenya. Sidian Bank’s Chege Thumbi who has led the innovations and growth of the bank since 2017 was the 2nd runners up for the CEO of the year award.
